Germany: Lidl's turnover is US$ 116billion, Kaufland's turnover is US$ 31billion in FY2020

Discount Retail Chain Lidl's (owned by the German Schwarz Group) turnover is EUR 96.3 billion (US$ 115.6Bn), Kaufland's turnover is EUR 25.5 billion (US$ 30.6BN). Good year for the owner of the discounter Lidl and supermarket Kaufland chains.


The German Schwarz Group, which includes the Lidl and Kaufland chains, recorded a good financial year 2020. Its turnover increased by 10 percent. up to EUR 125.3 billion (US$150.4 Bn).


Lidl recorded a 9.9% increase in turnover in the fiscal year 2020 to EUR 96.3 billion (US$115.6Bn). The sister supermarket chain Kaufland also did very well, growing by 7.5%. up to EUR 25.5 billion (US$30.6Bn). The recycling company PreZero recorded a turnover increase of 33.7%. (up to EUR 700 million, US$840Mn). The company is expected to triple next year thanks to the acquisition of part of the Suez group.
