When the recession comes after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, Lidl wants to sharpen its price image.
Discount Retail Chain Lidl will become more price-aggressive, setting the market prices where it has a leading position, accelerating the role-out of its Lidl Plus digital loyalty card and on improving special in & out food and non food offers. Lidl wants to be well prepared for the coming recession and wants to grow further in marketshare and results. Herefore Lidl reshuffles its central purchasing department.
