Peru: InRetail plans to open 300 new Mass stores until 2022

Discount Retail Chain and multiformat player InRetail (owned by Intercorp Peru) maintains positive figures, leveraging its growth mainly in its Mass discount stores and in Plaza Vea supermarkets.

In the fourth quarter of 2019, Plaza Vea contributed 83% of sales, Vivanda 4%, Mass discount stores 8% and Economax 5%.

The Peruvian retailer has been giving more priority to its Mass discount store chain, opening net 120 stores in 2019 (totaling 405 stores). For this reason, by the year 2022 the “hard discounter” plans to have approximately 650 stores in Peru.
