The Schwarz Group (owner of discount retail chain Lidl and supermarket chain Kaufland) and the Israeli IT security company XM Cyber have today agreed on a framework for a close partnership. This goes hand in hand with the acquisition of a majority stake by the Schwarz Group in the cyber security specialist. With the partnership, the Schwarz Group is preparing itself for future challenges in IT security. New growth opportunities are opening up for XM Cyber.
Security plays an important role in the advancement of digitization. Cyber attacks such as the smuggling of ransomware into a company's IT infrastructure can cause major damage. XM Cyber supports you with innovative approaches to protection against cyber attacks. The company simulates attack paths in vulnerable parts of the IT system in order to close them. For the Schwarz Group, the extensive know-how in relation to securing complex hybrid cloud systems is an important aspect of the partnership.
"The XM Cyber team with a deep technical understanding and innovative strength optimally complements our portfolio for IT security", says Christian Müller, CEO of Schwarz IT. "The approach of finding ways into the company and closing them from the attacker's point of view is a future-oriented, additional component with which we protect our customers, partners and ourselves as a company."
