In times of pandemics, in particular, a healthy diet seems to gain in importance for many people. ALDI SUISSE also felt the effects of this development. In 2020, the Swiss retailer recorded an increase in sales of almost 55% for its organic products compared to the previous year. And the trend continues to point steeply upwards.
“We have noticed for some time that more and more consumers want to eat consciously and want healthy and organically produced food. But we did not expect such enormous growth either”, says Jérôme Meyer, country manager of ALDI SUISSE.
