Russia: Magnit announces new appointments for their new discount format - B1

Retail chain Magnit appointed the main top managers in a new format of hard discounters. The first B1 stores opened last month.
The commercial director of the hard discounter B1 ("First Choice"), will be Alexey Smalyuk. Prior to joining Magnit, Smalyuk worked in retail retail for more than 16 years and headed the commercial department of Pyaterochka in Siberia for more than 6 years. In his new position, Smalyuk will develop a category strategy and a private label strategy for the discounter format. He will also be responsible for microplanogramming of the format and the strategy of docking the goods with the equipment.
Stanislav Koloskov became the Director of Marketing and Loyalty of the Magnet discounter format. His responsibilities will include the development of brand strategy, management of marketing communications (geo-targeting, seasonal offer, etc.) and data, recommendations on customer preferences for category management. Previously, Koloskov worked as director of marketing and commerce for the brand of professional cosmetics Likato (CosmoBeauty). At various times, he was The Marketing Director at TanukiFamily, Girlfriend, Sunlight, Valtera, developed the Ostin loyalty program, served as Director of Digital Transformation and Omnichannel at RiveGosh and Creative Director at Technosil.
Sergey Shadrin has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. He has been working in operations management for over 15 years. Prior to joining Magnit, he held the position of Director of the Siberian branch of Sportmaster Russia for 8 years. Also, for more than 5 years he worked as an executive director and development director of the Trading Network "Commander". In Magnit, Shadrin will be engaged in scaling the new format throughout Russia.
Sergey Krylov became the Director of Logistics and Supply Chain of the Discounter Format. He will be responsible for the strategic management of the logistics function of discounters and the construction of an effective system for the distribution of commodity flows of the format.
Also, the discounters have a head of the fresh products department. Svetlana Koltunovskaya was appointed to this position. Svetlana has more than 15 years of experience in retail: she worked in the commercial unit of the company "Commander", in the association "Eastern Retail Chains", working with global volumes of categories of goods, including fruits and vegetables, "fresh" and "ultrafresh". Svetlana has implemented several successful projects on import substitution and localization of suppliers in the Commander network.
Kirill Kovalenko became the head of business processes and retail technologies of the discounter format. He will be responsible for automating processes, searching for modern technical solutions and testing them. Prior to Magnit, Kovalenko worked for several years at Perekrestok in positions combining IT functions and operations management.
