Turkey: Şok increased its net sales revenues in the Q1

Discount Retail Chain Şok Marketler's (listed TYR: SOKM) first quarter net sales revenues increased by 103.6 per cent to TL 20.8 billion compared to the same period last year.


Şok Marketler announced its financial results for the first three months of 2023 to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). Accordingly, the company's first quarter net sales revenues increased by 103.6% compared to the same period last year and reached 20.8 billion TL, while the number of employees exceeded 46,000 and the number of stores reached 10,214.

Commenting on the first quarter financial results, Uğur Demirel, CEO of Şok Marketler, said: "After the earthquake disasters we experienced, we continue our contribution to the economy and employment without slowing down. We have assumed an important responsibility in this regard by prioritising the people of the region in recruitment. In the coming period, we will continue to provide uninterrupted service to all our customers in 81 provinces of our country, open new stores and increase our investment and employment."
