South Africa: Research shows that shoppers shifting to bigger pack sizes to save money

As shoppers feel the pinch they adapt. In South Africa 42% of the Top 40 categories shoppers shifted their spend to bigger pack sizes to get a better bang for their buck. In 33% shoppers switched to smaller packs to take advantage of the lower price point needed to make their purchase, and in 25% there is no noticeable change.
Manufacturers must offer a broad range of pack sizes to capture the maximum demand.
