Discount Retail Chain Aldi Spain has reached 480 stores in Spain after adding more than half a million new shoppers between June 2024 and June 2025, which represents an increase of 8% in its number of customers, consolidating itself as the fastest growing supermarket in the country for the fourth consecutive year, according to the company itself.
The discounter estimates that households that shop in its establishments can save an average of 20 euros per week thanks to its own-private label brand assortment and low prices, which means about 1,000 euros in annual savings per family, according to data from Kantar Worldpanel.
Aldi continues with its expansion plan and plans to open more than 20 new stores before the end of 2025. Today it has opened its second store in Finestrat (Alicante), a province where it already has more than 40 supermarkets.
It has also strengthened its presence in Andalusia with the opening of its third store in Vélez-Málaga, exceeding 30 stores in the province, and will open a new supermarket in Mojácar on July 30. In Catalonia, Aldi has opened its first store in Torroella de Montgrí (Girona).
